Cooperative Kids - Raising Children with Love, Limits, & Lessons
What People Are Saying
Read recent comments from some of Bill's clients:

"As Co-Chair of the Parent Enrichment Committee for BCD, I was thrilled to host speaker Bill Corbett this past April. His energetic, playful style complemented his helpful observations and advice to the parent community. He presented a talk entiled, "Love, Limits, and Lessons," which was very well attended and universally enjoyed!""Bill's appreciation for the difficulties of being both a parent AND a child allows him to convey sound advice with compassion, respect, and humor. He taught us that we as parents, are using antiquated tools to deal with this generation of challenging children. Somehow, Bill encouraged a great deal of audience participation and self-disclosure, without a fear of judgement. We all appreciated his nonjudgemental style and his ability to make us laugh at ourselves!""In closing, we were so pleased with Bill Corbett's presentation that we are inviting him to return to our campus this upcoming academic year. We look forward to another informative, engaging and illuminating presentation!"

"Our group so enjoyed our workshop with you on the evening of March 22nd at Conte School.  Among our group, as you know, were parents, public school teachers, our Childcare Teachers, our Childcare Directors, representatives from our Even Start program, and Social Workers.  Uniformly they had high praise and obvious delight in your presentation.""I had several telephone calls from staff from each of these groups and from parents expressing their delight in the content and caliber of your presentation.  You are a superb teacher, with a unique ability to involve an audience, and to convey new information.  Your presentation style is absorbing.  We look forward to hearing you again."

"TennSACA, Tennessee School-Age Care Alliance, has been so pleased with the workshops that Bill Corbett has presented to school-age care professionals in the state of Tennessee.  He has touched the lives of these professionals in three different locations in the state - totaling 240 people in April, 2006.  Bill is engaging and very knowledgeable about children, parents, families, and staff.  He has shared his wealth of information with a genuine interest and passion."

"I would very much like to thank you for your time and the opportunity to experience the expertise of your training sessions.  I have reviewed over 70 evaluation forms from your training sessions and they were very favorable; several of the participants stated that they would like to attend more and that they wish it would have been longer, Excellent!  It was wonderful, and he was a very good speaker.  I will recommend your training to all parents and anyone working with children.  There is a desperate need for behavior management training in our childcare communities and I hope that we can invite you back to help our teachers and parents in providing positive interaction and responding appropriately to children."

"Thank you for presenting your program at the Enfield Public Library.  It was an informative addition to our monthly Meet The Author At Your Library series.  It was greatly enjoyed by our patrons.  After the event three different patrons thanked me for inviting you to the library to speak, they were extremely pleased with your suggestions and examples on parenting.  We appreciate all your time and effort."

"On behalf of the Hampden County Mothers of Twins Club, I would like to thank you for coming to speak with our group of moms.  We had lots of great feedback.  Here is a small sample of the feedback I received after having you at our meeting... I learned so much in such a short time.  I implemented some of the things the next day.  It felt so good.  I felt better about myself, had no guilt and enjoyed the time more.  At the end of the day, I said to my kids, "We had a good day today."  They said, "Yeah, you didn't yell at us."  I am very happy I got to  hear Bill Corbett speak.  Thank you for bringing him to our club... I thought I would let you know that I thought the speaker was great last night, he had a lot of great info and I look forward to reading his book!  He was a great find for our club, thanks again.... What a great speaker last night!  I hope that he can come back next year!  I am looking forward to trying out his suggestions.  Bill Corbett had great ideas, what a great find for our club.  Thanks."

"As the founder and director of Longmeadow Montessori for 21 years I can state without reservation that Bill Corbett’s Parent Workshop has had a profound positive impact on LMI families.  This year Bill has presented two introductory sessions and three 9 hour workshops at LMI. Parents who completed the workshops are raving about the techniques they learned and their daily newfound successes. Parents who have attended workshops have also begun to support and encourage each other, gaining and giving strength to one another.  In addition, as a staff, it is wonderful to have a professional parent educator delivering messages so similar to our own. It is wonderful to have teachers and parents speaking the same language as we work together in the best interest of children.  The best aspect of working with Bill is that his support is never ending. Bill has a "chat group" for parents and he shares his words of wisdom in our school newsletter, which now features a special Bill Corbett page dedicated to examining issues important to all parents."

On Tuesday, November 3rd speaker Bill Corbett, author of the book Love, Limits & Lessons, and founder and president of Cooperative Kids, spoke to over 75 teachers, parents and day care providers on how to deal with children and power struggles. The name of the 2-hour workshop was called “No I Won’t and You Can’t Make Me,” and it included videos, stories, and role play, as well as Bill’s professional step-by-step instruction. Everyone found the workshop to be informative and fun. Many of the parents walked out with an instant plan on how and when they were going to use Bill’s techniques. I would recommend this workshop to anyone who lives or works with children. His suggestions on handling so many various situations were as simple as they sounded in his presentation.  I have tried a couple of his techniques and they really work, especially the one on getting a child to pick up after themselves.  It worked great!  I am looking forward to booking him again.
